The Mercedes-Benz W113 Pagoda marked a pivotal shift for the brand. Following the tragic events at Le Mans in 1955, Mercedes-Benz redirected its focus toward refined motoring—prioritising comfort, luxury, and elegance. As the 190SL reached the end of its production cycle, the W113 stepped in as its worthy successor.

Presented here is a beautifully restored 1967 example, meticulously rebuilt from the ground up by the esteemed Silchester Garage in the UK. Finished in a tasteful combination of Light Ivory with brown accents on the wheel caps and hardtop, its understated elegance is enhanced by polished chrome details that highlight the Pagoda’s timeless silhouette.

The interior continues the theme of refined simplicity, featuring brown leather upholstery paired with wood and alloy accents. True to its era, the cabin remains uncluttered and intuitive—subtly modernised with a period-style stereo and integrated air conditioning to elevate comfort.

Under the bonnet lies a 2.5-litre inline-six, paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission—a technical highlight of its time. Upgraded suspension and four-wheel disc brakes ensure a smooth and composed driving experience, true to the car’s grand touring nature.

Now six decades on, the Pagoda remains a design icon—an elegant blend of classic form and restrained modernism. With values steadily appreciating, it continues to attract discerning collectors. The question is: are you ready to make it yours?
