1981 Porsche 911 930 Turbo ‘Martini’
In the 70s, Porsche’s engineering team took a daring step by bolting a turbocharger onto the iconic Porsche 911, giving birth to the 930 Turbo. This car was a marvel of its time, but its raw power made it notoriously difficult to control, earning it the nickname ‘Widowmaker.’
Pictured here is a 1981 930 Turbo ‘Martini,’ part of a limited series celebrating Porsche’s racing victories. Finished in Grand Prix White with Martini stripes, its wide fenders, track-boosting stance, whale tail, and G-Model impact bumpers are pure 80s.
Inside, you'll find a meticulously restored blue leather interior that’s been carefully maintained over the years. Behind the wheel, the iconic five gauges greet you, featuring a 300 km/h speedometer and a small turbo boost gauge—reminding you that this is no ordinary 911.
But the real magic lies beneath the whale tail. Lift it up to reveal a 256hp 3.3L flat-six engine, paired with a 4-speed manual gearbox. While it may not seem huge by today’s standards, it was a bold figure in its era.
As @magnuswalker calls it, ‘the next BIG THING,’ this 930 Turbo has found its new owner, matched to perfection through our sourcing process. If you’re searching for your dream car, we at the #HomeofModernClassics will take care of everything from A to Z.
